In most cases, ear infections are a consequence of bacteria and viruses in the middle ear. They’re most common in children. Some of the most frequent symptoms include fluid drainage from the ears, high fever, earache, sleeping issues, vomiting, tugging at the ear, etc.
Let’s learn more about our ears
The ear is consisted of three parts: the inner, middle, and outer part and each has its own role in the hearing process. The function of the outer part is to capture travelling sound waves. The middle ear contains vital ear parts like the anvil, stir up, hammer, semicircular, and middle canal. From here, the sound wave goes into the inner ear which includes the Eustachian tube, cochlea, and nerves.
The brain gets the signal when the wave reaches the nerves and it begins the recognition and processing of the sound. Although all ear parts are prone to infections, the inner part is the most affected. Proper treatment prevents damaged or ruptured ear drum.
